{"id":829,"date":"2023-12-01T16:49:10","date_gmt":"2023-12-01T03:49:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stheliersglendowiescouts.org\/?page_id=829"},"modified":"2023-12-01T16:49:11","modified_gmt":"2023-12-01T03:49:11","slug":"111th-anniversary-celebrations","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/stheliersglendowiescouts.org\/index.php\/111th-anniversary-celebrations\/","title":{"rendered":"111th Anniversary celebrations"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>30 November 2023<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today we held celebrations for our 111<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary and official opening of our historic flagpole along with holding our Group night. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The evening was filled with outdoor games, a wonderful BBQ cooked by our Venturers, raising our flags on our newly refurbished flagpole, a short ceremony and plenty of celebration. We were fortunate to have members of our Akarana Zone and Orakei Board (who were a big part of getting our flagpole refurbished) in attendance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our flagpole has been in its current location since 1959 but dates back over 100 years, originally standing in front of Sir Ernest Davis, Mayor of Auckland&#8217;s home in Kohimarama.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All the youth members in attendance
