To give you an idea of what the fees cover, the national portion of the fee helps to cover things like:
– Running the national office who deal with all our compliance such as financial reporting, Charities Commission reporting, health & safety legislative compliance, police vetting and warranting of Leaders, conflict resolution and investigations, as well as fundraising for youth development etc.
– Running the regional support offices
– Implementing systems to support Leaders and groups, Scouts Direct shop and an 0508 child protection and h&s helpline for Leaders.
The Group portion of the fee covers things like:
– Den maintenance and land lease fees- Insurance- Utilities- Resources for Keas/Cubs/Scouts
